Games are a social place. People meet, they play and they talk about everything. Including politics and society. So we will take a look at how gaming spaces are can be used to talk about social issues and how right-wing extremists try to utilize and inject their ideology into gaming spaces. Spoiler: Gaming does not make you a right-wing extremist.
There will be a talk + discussion and we will brainstorm ideas how gaming spaces can be used for a better society.

AUDIENCE: Everybody who is interested in gaming and society or right-wing extremism.

REQUIREMENTS: None, but a hunger for a better society and some love for the internet.

BRING: Always bring a towel (not really).

SENSITIVE TOPICS: During this workshop, we will be delving into the ethical aspects of game design within the context of the climate crisis. This means that we might be discussing injustices, disadvantages, and limitations in participation. We encourage all participants to engage respectfully and empathetically in these discussions, recognizing the gravity of the issues being addressed.

For this workshop online registration is not required to attend. The spots will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis, so make sure to be at the workshop location at least 10 minutes before the starting time.
